Why AWALA is different

More than a language model response.

General-purpose AI assistants are built for many open-ended tasks. AWALA is being developed for a narrower job: guide a brief voice reflection responsibly and bring it to a useful close.

01

Guided self-reflection

A defined voice flow gives reflection direction without requiring the perfect prompt first.

02

Everyday wellbeing

Designed for brief moments in daily life—not diagnosis, treatment or psychotherapy.

03

Personal agency

AWALA offers questions and structure; the person remains the authority and chooses their own next step.

04

Responsibility built in

Bounded sessions, honest limitations and intended safety behaviour are part of the product design.

The difference is focus—not a broad claim of being superior at every task.

Trust as a product principle

Reflection needs trust.

When people speak about personal thoughts and feelings, they need clarity about what happens to their data. Whether someone feels able to open up honestly also depends on feeling personally and digitally safe.

That is why AWALA is being designed in Europe with data minimisation, clear transparency, honest boundaries and meaningful user control as development principles. Privacy is not being added afterwards; it is being considered from the beginning as part of a responsible reflection product.

The specific providers, data flows, retention periods, safeguards and user controls will be technically and legally validated before product launch.

01

Data minimisation

Plan to use only the data genuinely needed for a clearly stated purpose.

02

Clear transparency

Explain what data is processed and why in language people can understand.

03

Meaningful user control

Give people understandable choices over how their data is handled.

04

Honest boundaries

Do not promise safeguards or control that have not yet been technically and legally validated.

A clear flow

A brief conversation with a clear ending.

You bring what is present. AWALA provides a calm structure. The planned session flow follows four simple steps.

01

Pause

Begin with what is present—without needing to have the right words.

02

Clarify

Give thoughts, feelings and the current situation a little more shape.

03

Regain perspective

Reflect on what matters without judgment or pressure.

04

Choose a next step

Close with one realistic action or a conscious conclusion.

A session is intended as a short, deliberately completed moment of reflection—not an endless conversation.

Voice-first

Speak without finding the perfect prompt first.

When thoughts feel tangled, speaking can be more natural than typing. AWALA is being designed to guide the rhythm with simple questions, room to respond and a clear close.

GuidedA clear structure instead of an empty chat window.
BoundedDesigned to conclude, not to keep you engaged indefinitely.

Everyday moments

For everyday moments that deserve a pause.

AWALA is being designed for moments when a little structure can help you hear yourself more clearly.

After a demanding moment

Pause before carrying the experience into the rest of the day.

When thoughts keep circling

Put the different parts into words and identify what matters now.

Before a difficult conversation

Clarify what you want to express and which boundary matters.

When feelings are hard to name

Explore your experience without forcing a label or interpretation.

At the end of the day

Notice what stayed with you and what can rest for today.

When the next step feels unclear

Reduce the situation to one realistic action.

For partners

Responsible pilots, shaped together.

AWALA is exploring pilot partnerships with coaches, wellbeing professionals, studios, practices, communities, event organisers and organisations interested in responsible wellbeing formats.

A pilot begins with a clearly defined use case, voluntary participation, transparent boundaries and a pre-agreed evaluation approach.

Safety

Clear boundaries are part of the product.

AWALA is intended to support wellbeing and self-reflection. It does not diagnose or treat health conditions, replace psychotherapy or professional care, or provide emergency support.

Privacy objectives

Data responsibility from the beginning.

Current design objectives include data minimisation, no unnecessary collection and no persistent storage of raw audio or complete transcripts. These objectives are still under technical and legal validation.
